How does Manki work?
Manki shows you English vocabulary inside real sentences. Each card hides one word — you read the sentence, recall the word, then swipe to reveal it. Swipe one way if you got it (CAUGHT!), the other way if you missed it (MISSED!). Cards you miss come back sooner.
What is free, and what is premium?
All B1–B2 (intermediate) decks are free, no account needed. The premium subscription unlocks the C1–C2 decks — the higher-level vocabulary you need for fluent professional speech, exam prep, and nuanced reading.
What does premium include, and is there a trial?
Premium unlocks every C1–C2 deck and any future advanced content. New subscribers get a free trial; after that it renews monthly until cancelled. Pricing is shown on the App Store before you confirm — taxes vary by country.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Cancellation is handled by Apple, not by Manki. Open the iPhone Settings app → tap your name at the top → Subscriptions → Manki → Cancel Subscription. You keep premium access until the current billing period ends.
How do I restore my purchases on a new device?
Sign in with the same Apple ID you used to subscribe, open Manki, and tap Restore Purchases in the app. The App Store re-verifies your subscription and unlocks premium decks again.
Does Manki work offline?
Yes. Decks, cards, and your progress live entirely on your device. There is no account, no cloud sync, no analytics. You can use Manki on a plane or in airplane mode without losing anything.
Can I move my progress to another device?
Because everything is stored locally, progress does not automatically sync across devices. If you switch phones, restoring your purchases will give you premium content on the new device, but card-level progress starts fresh.

- 02Tap your name at the top to open your Apple ID page.
- 03Tap Subscriptions.
- 04Find and tap Manki in the list.
- 05From here you can change your plan or tap Cancel Subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
